Dave Gasser ~ Sports Rambles

Sports Rambles by Dave Gasser. Dave taught school for thirty one years in Canby, Portland and Lake Oswego, and coached every one of those years at least one sport and usually two at the high school level; taught graduate classes for George Fox, Portland State & Concordia University in education. He has thirty years as a varsity baseball coach, the last five in Astoria. Called the most “winningest” coach in Oregon history, Coach Gasser retired with an over all win/loss record 660-197 and was named State Coach of Year (Spring/Legion): 1988, 1996, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2007,2009, 2010. Dave also includes in his bio,  “Father of Aaron and Kindra, grandpa of Raven and Kaden.”

View From the Docks is a Monthly column written by Andrew Bornstein, co-owner of Bornstein Seafoods which has been processing seafood in the Pacific Northwest for nearly 80 years. Andrew holds a degree in Biology and a Masters in Business Administration, and together with his brothers and management team, is responsible for a company that employs over 250 people. Being actively engaged in the Seafood industry from harvest to consumption, Andrew brings a unique perspective to a complicated industry and is passionate about educating the world about the many benefits of seafood.
