Richard Lee Recall Odds

Tryan Hartill March 19, 2008

It’s that time again! Locked in the basement of a un-named Casino, I give you the opening odds for the March 25th Recall…..

Richard Lee Recalled – “Yes” Vote

+/- 48%

Richard Lee Stays – “No” Vote

+/- 52%

Turnout – Total votes Cast

+/- 2200

Odds that the winning side will say “We knew we had that citizens behind us all along”…..100%!

A few other notes on this.

  • This election will be a true test of the power of the Daily Astorian. The have worked very hard at getting a recall out of this whole deal.
  • Think about how much time and effort has been put into this issue….Imagine if everything was channeled into some common goals.
  • When it’s all said and done – between the 2 Committees, ink costs and the election itself, this recall will cost close to $30,000 total. And really 80% of the voters already had their minds made up. With a 60% turnout we’re only talking about 400-500 people that are/were undecided…..

Me, I just got a feeling.

In Lee’s interest several people should have kept quiet and out of the way and I’m almost convinced they meant it to be that way.

Did Him more damage than he can recoup in 4 days plus that “Monday Surprise”.

But you know me. Not good at polls or predictions.

Just got a feeling.

Come now Patrick....

Richard could take a dump in the middle of the Guy Boyington building during a meeting and not be recalled by even close to that amount....there are just too many people that will support him no matter what.

Something is very, very fishy with this picture. Loose lips sink ships?  Fogbounders do have a horrible time keeping their mouths’ shut.

I didn’t realize getting LNG from Alaska was considered “importing”, Pat. According to Merkley he is going to force Alaska to sell their fossil fuel to US. According to Alaska … By Nick from the article Rehearing of FERC's Bradwood order is granted for Limited Purpose.
