The First Sunny Day of My Life.
Or so it felt. With my brother-in-law visiting from North Dakota, it surely felt like his first for a very long while also.
We pulled out the lawn chairs, we pulled out the dining room chairs, heck we even pulled out an old torn up easy chair. With our Coors and homebrews we were definitely an “old redneck” vision to behold. But, it warmed our bones, and we spent the whole day just soaking up the sun.
Hope everyone enjoyed the weather yesterday, I know we did.

Things I’d like to know about around the area:
1. What is the status on the Flavel block downtown. Will it ever change hands?
2. Plans for the site once it changes hands. Sure could use a nicer view upon entering town than that.
3. What are the average sq. ft. rental prices for a business space downtown? How do they compare to other downtowns, even larger ones?
4. Anybody working on bringing a Boys and Girls Club here?
5. What are the criteria for getting a home on the Historical Register, what are the tax benefits, etc.?
6. What are the future developments for public transportation here, if any? What about the Big Daddy to Portland? If that goes back online, how much would a round trip ticket be? Any chance of a more extensive trolley system returning? It works for SF, and not just for the tourists. Could work here, as it once did.
7. We’ve gotten some cool new signage around the area since the storm. Just sayin’. Love the one on the Chinese restaurant.
8. Any other thoughts?

Ya know, these blogs on NCO are more informational than radio, newspaper or all the other blogsites combined. You get the real scoop, the gossip scoop, the read-between-the-lines scoop and the down-and-dirty scoop! Plus, the topics are broader and more up to date and the reporting (for all I know) seems factual. The comments made by the public are usually intelligent and genuine, a nice change from the blog-maniacs that have dominated other sites in an effort to become the “biggest idiot”.
