Recently Oregon Guy posted, “that the Clatsop County PSCC recommend to the Clatsop County BOCC that the BOCC, in coordination with all county public safety entities, evaluate and prepare for potential increased criminal activity due to the presence of hundreds of workers building one or more LNG facilities in our area.” Commissioner Ann Samuelson wrote about Noah Tollefson that he had, “got to the point I didn’t care about the consequences of what I did,” he said. “I got used to (prison), it became acceptable – that was the worst part.” And the Sheriff says, “Come on vacation, leave on probation,” while advocating for a new jail. What does the paying public think? Do we need a new jail? Better laws? Better treatment? Better examples? More role models? More commitment? Less government, more family? Should this all be turned over to something like Lutheran Services or other Faith-based or humanist social services?

So this “man camp” idea is an insult to skilled labor, that’s for sure. The men and women that would be building a facility such as this have gone through a 4 to 5 year apprenticeship training program certified by the state, they are not what they are being portrayed to be by the anti folks. Just like the no on lng pipelines is a big fat lie.

And insulting that supposedly educated people like Matyas and Archibald would fall for the machinations of Cantor, Bergin, and Marquis.
These types of plants are built to spec. You can’t just put an ad in the paper for anyone to show up.
And these are the type of people advising our commissioners? Heaven help us.

We are not in need of a jail, I heard there is a guy taking up space and money who has been siting in jail for 11 months, what gives?
