An update regarding the Fundraising for the March of Dimes. I talked with Tonya Houston who lost her daughter Marisa when she was born the size of a Barbie doll. They have raised about $1300, and are $700 shy of their $2000 goal. If they do not garner enough interest or money the March of Dimes Organization will pull the walk for subsequent years. So if you are in the area there is tons of stuff left, please go donate or search for something interesting. There was so much there was no room to even walk she said. Everything is half off tomorrow.
There will be an upcoming article with more information about the Walk itself when takes place May 3rd on the waterfront in Astoria.

Sterling Savings is also taking donations for those that can’t make it to Seaside. They have a competition between the Astoria Branch and the Clatskanie Branch every year to see who can raise the most.....The Astoria Branch has lost every year. But last year they were near $1200 total which was the closest they have ever been. They were wondering the streets last year on the last day to try for the win...but to no avail.
