Astoria Sunday Market Kicks Off 2008 Season

Tryan Hartill May 11, 2008

Hundreds if not thousands of people converged in downtown Astoria for the first Sunday Market of the season. The market has run since the late 1990s and now is the second largest Sunday Market in the State. This was also the first Market for new Directer Cyndi Mudge, who took over for Joyce Compere when she moved back to Arizona this month. There are close to 200 vendors this year, for a partial list visit the Sunday Market website. It runs from today until October 5th 2008.

Nice to see you out and about on the first Sunday market Tryan.  Good pictures and good reporting on The North Coast Oregon. I think the first Sunday was a good one. I love the reporting and blogging on this web site. It sure gives you a place to sound off. Many good things are being exposed on this web site.  Thank you very much.

We live in Ocean Park Wa. and I look forward to the opening of Astoria Sunday Market all winter because I love the Cheese Corn from the Humdinger Kettle Korn booth.  Low and behold it was not there then I saw there notice that they were not allowed to participate this year.  BIG MISTAKE.  Sunday Market just lost us as shoppers and we were going over at least four or five times a season to shop and buy chesse and carmal corn.
