Clatsop County Fair 2012 starts Tuesday, July 31st and runs through Saturday, August 4th.
The 2012 Clatsop County fair starts Tuesday, July 31st, and runs through Saturday, August 4th. Five short days jam packed with toe tappin’concerts, adrenaline-pumping carnival rides, deliciously sinful foods, exhibits, 4-H & FFA livestock shows, and much more.
Professional goofballs, Andrea Terry and Mark Bunnell, display their hilarious take on life with witty dialogue, physical prowess and carefully calculated chaos.
Entertainment includes the Knappa High School Marimba band, a comedy act called The Carnival of Chaos, a hypnotist, the Maddox Dancers, a magician, lots of music, and the Clatsop County Talent Show!
Daily activities include the 4H & FFA animal exhibits and shows, a petting zoo, a super science puzzle tent, BMX Extreme Freestyle, a balloon master, and the ever popular kids pedal tractor pull.
Special events include the ever popular Clatsop County Logging Show and Competition, Lawn Mower Racing, the BBQ Beef, Dinner, and the annual livestock auction.
Opening ceremonies commence at noon, on Tuesday, after which the animal exhibits and shows will be open in the arena and the exhibit hall will be open to the public. Stage performances begin at 12:30 with the Knappa High School marimba band and continue each night until 9 pm.
The carnival will once again be at fair, opening on Tuesday at 2 pm and the rest of the week at noon and closing at 10 pm. Bracelets for one day unlimited access to the carnival and all of its rides will cost $25. On Thursday, buddy day, bracelets will be half price for the second bracelet (buy one bracelet get the second one at half price).
Admission to the fair is free for children 5 yoa and under, $3 for children 6-12 yoa and seniors 62 yoa and older. General admission for everyone else is $6 except on special admission days. Parking is free.
