National Guard Unit 115 Mobilization Ceremony

Boyd’s unit will spend about one year deployed to Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Trout, an Eagle Scout with Troop 127, was completing a two-part project for the Boy Scouts of America; the first to provide a pocket constitution and voter registration card to every graduating senior in the Salem-Keizer School District. The second was to hand out folded flags to all deploying Soldiers, “So they can always carry a little piece of home with them and know that we appreciate them here at home,” Trout said.
