And here is some more photos of Astoria. I didn’t even look at these until now…I think they turned out better than the other one.

Oh Boy..this is fairly complicated….
If you’re using a photohost account, like photobucket or photocasket, you need to use the URL for the photo and not the HTML tag or the IMG code. Next you paste it in the article and put an exclamation point at the start and at the end of the tag. You can paste that where ever you want in the article and the text will wrap around it.
If you want to load the photos directly into the NCO database from your computer you need to hit the “images tag” at the top of the page. You hit the “browse button” and choose what photo you want from your computer. Once you choose it you hit “upload” and it should show it on the screen. Next hit save and it saves it to the database, which has a crapload of photos in it in alphabetical order, so you need to remember the name (or the first letter) of your photo to find it. To find it you hit the “images” tab again and it will list all the photos. Once you find it you hit the textpattern link that is to the left of the photo. It builds you a tag for your photo and you can copy and paste the tag into your article…...confused yet?

RE: Animal Massages …
What exactly does that mean? What’s the difference between a “massage”, and giving my dog a good petting? And people actually PAY for this scam?!?
RE: Family photos …
That’s nothing unique. My family has taken photos every year for over 25 years, during the family reunion/campout. We used to take pictures of my grandma’s entire family – kids, grandkids, greatgrandkids – each year at the campout, until she died. Well, everybody who attended, that is. There was discussion of continuing it even after she died, but the group was so big by then that to fit everybody in the picture the photographer had to be so far back that you couldn’t actually tell who people were. So now we do pictures grouped by each of grandma’s kids – with their kids, grandkids, etc.

I guess my family takes more pictures than most. I remember seeing tintypes of some relatives, portrait style, every year since they were an small child.
Can you imagine trying to get a child’s picture in those days – when they had to sit still for minutes? The photographer must have had the patience of a saint.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of photos were stored in an old steamer trunk in a relative’s garage. She rounded them all up to put on slides, and never got around to it. A few years ago we were going to put them on CDs … only to find they were all ruined, due to being exposed to water at some point. The only pictures saved were whatever duplicates people kept when they gave her the originals – which was naturally very few of the tintypes.

Ras’nfras! How do I publish photos? There’s one there that was supposed to be with the article (down the side bar) and then I had a few more but couldn’t ever get them to publish. Been trying all evening now, but just can’t figure it out. Sigh!
